Ainslie's New Haircut!

Ainslie has been asking to cut her hair for a while now.  Not just a little off of the ends, but a major haircut.  I took her today and she went through with it!  She loves it and I do too!

Last Gymnastics Class

The girls had their last gymnastics class of the Summer this afternoon.  Next up is soccer for both girls and Kindergarten for Ainslie!

Neighborhood Pool is Open!!

Our neighborhood pool FINALLY opened this past weekend!  We have anxiously been waiting for it to open!

T-Bones Game with Brookwood Farms

The Brookwood Farms Social Committee put on a neighborhood outing to the T-Bones game on Saturday night.  The T-Bones are a professional baseball team based in KC.  We took the girls and had a great evening!

Book Club and Backpacks

We went to Pottery Barn Kids on Tuesday to get Ainslie a new backpack for Kindergarten.  She is getting so excited to start school at Wolf Creek Elementary in a few weeks!  Book Club was meeting while were there for story time, so we stayed to listen!

Date Night!

Mike and I went out to celebrate my birthday on Saturday night!  We made a stop at Pig and Finch in Park Place for a drink before our dinner reservation at my favorite Italian restaurant, Carma.  It was a fun and much needed date night!  ;)

Ainslie Lost Her 2nd Tooth!

Ainslie pulled out her second tooth at Grammie's house on Friday afternoon.  It was super loose and bothering her when she was trying to eat lunch, so she pulled it!  As you can see from the pic on the left, her big girl teeth are already coming in.

Birthday

It was my Birthday on Wednesday and the girls and I have had fun celebrating the last couple of days.  We went shopping and out to lunch at First Watch with my Mom on Tuesday.  We spent Wednesday afternoon at my Mom and Dad's house swimming and having dinner with my brothers family as well.

Cinderella at Starlight!

We were invited by a good friend and her daughter to go see Cinderella at Starlight last night.  Despite the heat, it was a really great time.  We went to the fairy tale party before the show and the girls had so much fun running from one station to the next!  They had their picture taken with a Fairy God Mother and a Princess, glitter "fairy dust" sprayed in their hair, flower tattoos applied, and Ainslie had her face painted, while Emilie had her arm painted.  The show was amazing and the girls loved every minute of it!

Reggie Regg the Magic Man!

I took the girls to US Toy in Leawood this morning to see a magic show with Reggie Regg the Magic Man.  To be honest, I wasn't super excited about going, but I knew that the girls would love it.  I was pleasantly surprised!  Not only did Reggie Regg put on a great magic show for the kids, he was hysterical!!  The best part of his show was when he called on Ainslie to help with a trick!  She did awesome!

Luckily we arrived a few minutes early, so the girls found prime seats!

 He had Ainslie blow on the green ball and then he put it in his hand and closed it.  When he opened his hand again, there were two balls instead of one!

 Ainslie was laughing so hard, she had tears coming out of her eyes!  He did the same thing with the two green balls and when he opened his hand he had three balls!

 For the last part of his trick, he pulled the green balls from her right ear!
