Scenes From Our Thanksgiving...

Michael grilled the turkey for our family this year.  He always brines the turkey the night before.  Here are all of his ingredients to get things started on Wednesday night.  And, of course, no brining would be complete without a good glass of Scotch!  ;)

Daddy and his girls!
The turkey goes in his brine bath for the night!
The turkey is all buttered and ready to go on the grill on Thanksgiving morning!

Looks delish!
After the turkey was done, we headed to my Mom and Dad's house to start the feast!  I had to take a couple of pics of her beautifully set table!

 All of my turkeys together!!

....and now for the silly faces (the only way that I can get them to do a nice pic first!)
There was a serious game of monopoly going on!
Break to be goofy!  ;)

Happy Thanksgiving from our family to yours!

"Cone-A-Copia" at School!

The girls had their Thanksgiving party at school this morning.  It's called a "Cone-A-Copia" because the little Pilgrims (Ms. Cherie's Preschool class) and the Indians (Ms. Penny's Pre-K class) get together to share snack.  They fill ice cream cones full of yummy snacks like marshmallows, chocolate chips, M&M's, and much more!

Happy 4th Birthday Madi!

The girls were invited to our friend and neighbor Madi's 4th Birthday party at Rainbow Play Systems in Olathe.  Rainbow Play Systems is a company that makes outdoor play sets for children and they have a showroom in Olathe with a variety of their sets built for families to check out.  You can rent the showroom for Birthday parties as well.  The girls had so much fun running around with their friends!

Thanksgiving Cookies

Ainslie and Emilie's Grandma sent a cookie decorating kit to the girls for Halloween, but we never had a chance to make them, so we turned them into Thanksgiving pumpkins!  We decorated them and handed them out to our friends in our cul-de-sac.  Thanks Grandma!

Love My Emme...

Emme gets to stay home with me on Monday and Wednesday mornings while Big Sis is at school.  She will be in school four days a week next year, so I know that these mornings are precious.  We never do anything special.  Just snuggle on the couch in our jammies and watch Tom and Jerry.  These are some of my favorite times!  I love you Emme Irene!

Operation Christmas Child

My Sister-in-law asked me and the girls if we would like to participate in Operation Christmas Child with her and their family this year.  It's a wonderful organization that sends packages to children in need all over the world at Christmas time.  You basically fill a shoe box full of clothing, necessities, such as toothpaste and soap, and toys.  You then select whether your box is for a boy or a girl and what age group.  Once your package is ready to go, you drop it off at one of their several donation sites, along with a small donation to cover shipping costs.  It is a great way to give back around the holiday season and such a wonderful lesson to teach the girls.

Ainslie's 1st Goal!

As I mentioned in an earlier post, Ainslie is on a new soccer team with her buddy Maddie and her cousin Jackson.  They had a game tonight at All American Indoor Soccer Complex in Overland Park.  Ainslie has been playing really well and she scored her first goal tonight!

Congrats on your first goal Ainslie!  We are so proud of you!
