Grandma and the Girls!

I got a chance to go visit some girlfriends in Chicago for a few days and Ainslie and Emilie's Grandma came to stay with the girls.  Here are some snapshots from their time together!

Fun at the park!

Emme LOVES to swing!

Happy Birthday Max!

Ainslie got invited to her buddy Max's Birthday Party last Saturday afternoon at Lil' Monkey Bizness!  Mike and I took both of the girls and they had so much fun running around, climbing and playing while the grown ups got a chance to catch up!  My camera ran out of batteries as soon as we got there (go figure!), so I only got one good shot from the party!

Happy Anniversary!

Afternoon with a Good Friend!

The girls and I spent the afternoon with a good friend of mine from childhood.  She is in town visiting from California.  We picked her up, grabbed some sandwiches for lunch and played the afternoon away!

Playgroup at Kendan's...

We met playgroup this morning in Kendan's backyard for some outdoor activities!  Water table, golf, bikes, bubbles, chalk, and more!  It was a bittersweet morning.  Fun for the kiddos, but sad for us Mommies, as this is the last time we will be at Kendan's house.  He and his family are moving out of town in a few weeks.  They are a huge part of our playgroup and will be greatly missed!

Powell Gardens

Mike and I took the girls to Powell Gardens this morning and afternoon.  The gardens are so beautiful!  They are full of flowers, waterfalls, fairy houses, forts, pirate ships, butterflies, fruit & veggies and more!  We made sure that Ainslie took her butterfly wings so that she would feel at home!  ;)  The girls had the BEST time!

Shipwreck!
Ains found the pirate ship!

So many beautiful gardens and waterfalls!

One of the many fairy houses we found along our walk!  This one was so cool because you could draw with chalk inside!
Ainslie hard at work!

Sand in her toes!
Guess who found the water?!
Apple trees everywhere!

This way to the free food tastings!  You can taste the fresh fruits and veggies that are grown right there in the gardens!!
Daddy went for the hot peppers.....
while Ainslie kept with the sweet peppers!
Pretty cute duo!

Ainslie's Quote(s) of the Week

Mommy, my face is upside down ~ This is what Ainslie says when she is sad.  I once told her to turn her frown upside down!

Mommy, look at all of the teardrops on the grass! ~ We were looking outside this morning and there was dew on the grass.
