Well, her first steps anyway!  Emilie Irene took her first official steps this afternoon and I am so proud of her!  Pics and hopefully a video to come...

Rain, Rain...

We are FINALLY getting some much needed rain today, so what better to do than stay inside and watch movies, read books and dance to music!  Hope that you are enjoying your rainy day too!  ;)

Toddle Time!

Playgroup met this morning at the Matt Ross Community Center for their Toddle Time that they put on every Tuesday and Wednesday morning.  We had so much fun!  The girls were busy riding all sorts of toys on the gym floor, going down slides, throwing balls, and more!  We definitely need to go back again!

Building a Book Bridge!

While I was making dinner tonight, Ainslie built a "book bridge" from the family room to the dining room.  She was so excited that she was skipping across the bridge from room to room!  Leave it to the mind of an almost 3 year old!

Playgroup at the Park!

We met our playgroup friends today at Franklin Park to play and listen to a free concert with Funky Mama!

Story Time at Pottery Barn Kids

Pottery Barn Kids offers a Story Time every week and Ainslie and I went this morning.  We have been a few times before, but I think that Ainslie is at the perfect age to start going regularly.  The staff does stretches with the kids in the beginning to get the "sillies out!" and then they read two or three books.  She had so much fun!!

Visit to the Dentist

Ainslie had her second dental appointment this morning and she did awesome!  She goes to a Pediatric Dentist off of the plaza and they are SO great with her.  The technician that cleans her teeth shows Ainslie every instrument and let's her hold it before she uses it on her teeth.  Ainslie sat so still during the entire cleaning.  I was so proud of her!  At the end, she got to pick out a toothbrush for her and one for Emme.  She also picked out two new bracelets and a sticker!  I'd say it was a successful visit!

Colors!

Emilie's favorite activity these days is coloring.  Whether it's a coloring book, notepad, or a scratch piece of construction paper, it doesn't matter!  She loves to look at all of the different colors!  Now, if we can keep her from putting the crayons in her mouth!!  ;)

Library Time!

Ainslie and I finally had the chance to go to the local Johnson County Library this afternoon while Emme was playing with Grammie!  We had so much fun looking at all of the books and picking a handful out to bring home with us!  I love these times together, just the two of us!!

Cousin Reunion!!!

We spent Saturday afternoon and evening at a Cousin Reunion Pool Party put together by my Aunt.  I grew up with 8 cousins (plus my 2 brothers) on my Mom's side.  We spent every Sunday and holiday together growing up.  As we have all gotten older and created our own families, we don't spend nearly enough time together!  Last night was so much fun for all of us, but especially for our girls.  It was their first time meeting most of their second cousins!

Growing up...

Emilie graduated to her "big girl" chair and loves being at the table with her sister!  Try not to grow up too fast Em!!  ;)

Crown Center!

We met our playgroup friends this morning at Crown Center.  We went to Kaleidoscope to work on some art projects and then headed to the free Dinosaur Exhibit to check out some dinosaurs!  We love spending Wednesday's with our friends!!!
